The Sony Bdp-S550 1090p Blu-Ray Player

The Sony Bdp-S550 1080p Blu-ray player is often known as the big brother of the very popular SonyBdp-S350 model. Like it's 'younger brother', the S550 has all the newest Blu-ray features and a tiny extra for the added . For starters, it runs on Bd 2.0, which is the newest and final (at least for now) format for Blu-ray movies.

The configuration and interface of the Sony Bdp-S550 1080p Blu-ray player is very similar to previous Sony Dvd players. It has the Emmy-winning Xross Media Bar that allows users to favorably way the assorted applications on the Blu-ray player. If you have a Sony Bravia Lcd or Plasma Tv, both the machines will work well together with the Bravia Sync function.

The Sony Bdp-S550 1080p Blu-ray player also has a Ethernet port that allows the motor to way the internet. It has a Bd-Live highlight that allows you to go online to way and download the newest previews, extra scenes and exclusive features. The blu-ray player also has 1Gb in memory that allows for more blu-ray movie features.

Since the S350 model also has most of the features above, are there any good reasons to buy the more costly Sony Bdp-S550 1080p Blu-ray player? One of the major differences that can be found in the S550 is that is has a 7.1 analog audio output. Some older audio receiver would only hold analog audio outputs. The S550 is a good buy if you have an older and very costly analog only audio receiver. Otherwise the S350 is just a good.
