Windows 7 Slow? Why Your Upgraded Windows Pc is Running Slow and How to preclude This Fast

If you are going to install windows 7 on your computer you may find after you install it you find windows 7 slow, like a tortoise, or will not even close the facility at all and just stops. Just follow these steps to get round this.

#1 Run the windows 7 upgrade advisor from Microsoft. This will only run if your computer has vista or Windows Xp installed and this tells you if your computer can run windows 7.

1gb

You can find this on the Microsoft website and its free to download. Just type in "windows 7 upgrade advisor" to find it.

If you have a different version of windows, or do not want to run this here is what to check that your computer meets these minimum requirements.

- 1Ghz Processor.

- 1Gb Ram.

- 1Gb of free hard disk space.

If it does meet the above you can upgrade your Pc, if it doesn't you need to upgrade it or free up disk space. If there is enough memory and the processor is fast enough saunter to the next steps before upgrading.

#2 Even if you have 1Gb of free space, the more you have the better and your computer will run faster. Remove as many applications and software as possible from your computer whatever you can Remove do so. Go to the windows control panel and then add and Remove programs and Remove what you can.

#3 You need as much free memory as you can get with windows 7. If your computer meets the memory requirements ensure this memory is not being hogged by programs. Check what you have installed before you upgrade.

- If there are problems with exact programs slowing your computer down Remove them and check the rest of the programs you have installed to ensure there are no updates and patches for them. Upgrade advisor will record errors with some applications but miss others.

#4 This is the most leading step and one that upgrade advisor will not check. If there are errors in the windows registry and you upgrade they will be carried over. The same goes for registry entries for files and programs that are no longer installed and this is the worst possible thing you can do as you will be crippling windows 7 before it has even started.

Run a free registry scan and precise any errors or out of date entries before you upgrade windows. Doing this and following the rest of these steps will preclude you looking windows 7 slow.
